Proximity of Byron to the city of London

Byron is a neighbourhood west of London, Ontario, with a population of 15,000. Dating back to the 1800s, this community has wonderful charm and is close proximity to picturesque parks.

Life in Byron

Byron has a tight-knit, small town feel. Comprised of mostly single family detached homes, Byron has seen a boom in the past couple years, with its recent addition of Condos on Commissioners Road West.

Byron has become a popular community for families to call home over the past decade, with some of London's top rated schools, excellent sports facilities and fields, as well as a brand new outdoor pool/aquatic park. With the increase in demand to move into the community from more and more people, home values have grown quickly.

Places & Spaces

Byron has many wonderful places and spaces to offer, but perhaps one of the most notable is the gorgeous Springbank Park, which runs along the Thames River. There are many paths to explore, making it an attractive spot for biking, jogging, and dog-walking alike. You’ll find playgrounds, benches, and the soothing sound of the river at Springbank. Right next door to the park, you’ll find the Civic Garden Complex, home to the Garden Club of London and the Friends of the London Civic Garden Complex. An excellent way to get involved in the community!

If you're looking to get off the beaten path a little bit more, the almost secret Warbler Woods is an excellent spot to get away from the feel of the city and more connected with nature. Tucked along the Western border of Byron, this is a great spot to unwind on a Sunday afternoon or take the family for a hike.

Another attraction that Byron boasts is Boler Mountain. An amazing setting for outdoor adventure, Boler mountain offers fun for winter and summer. People from all over come to enjoy skiing and snowboarding in the winter, and mountain biking, treetop adventures, and yoga during the summer. You can check out all they have to offer here.

Byron is a wonderful community with a small town feel, with all of the nearby advantages of the city. If you’re considering a move, this community is worth some serious consideration.

Komoka is a beautiful, small village just west of London, dating all the way back to the late 1700s. Today, it is the largest community in Middlesex Centre, and only a short drive away from London.

Recently, Komoka has seen a boom in development! The community enjoys many amenities to service it's growing population - a large YMCA facility, LCBO, Foodland, and Dollarama. It’s become a popular spot for many families to call home, while still enjoying all the benefits of being so close to London. There’s been a steady increase of new homes to meet the growing demand of Londoners moving West. Not only has there been an increase of families in the area; many empty-nesters are moving into recently developed row homes as well.

Komoka is amazing for many reasons, but a lot of it comes down to the tight knit community feel. It’s a great spot if you want to readily access outdoor activities like hiking trails, fishing, and kayaking. The proximity to London is a huge benefit as well! The commute to the city is around 20 minutes. It’s the perfect combination of small town, rural feel, while not being too far away from the city.
